Careers in Applied Behavior Analysis
We are looking for people with an interest in teaching life skills, helping to intervene with difficult behaviors and changing life trajectories. The work takes a great deal of patience, kindness, strength and problem solving. We also get to teach kids play skills and have a lot of fun. There are several options for career development at Orion ABA.
Registered Behavior Technician
A person must be 18 years, have a high school diploma and the personal qualities described above. RBTs must complete 40 hours of training, a competency exam of technical skills and a written exam. RBTs deliver services directly to learners and assist with assessments, staff training and plan develop under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst
A person must complete a bachelors degree and a behavior analytic course sequence. They must complete a clinical internship under the supervision of a BCBA and pass a written exam. BCaBAs develop programs, train staff, and conduct assessments with the supervision of the BCBA.
Board Certified Behavior Analyst
A BCBA has completed a Master’s degree, a behavior analytic course sequence, a written exam and a clinical internship under an experienced BCBA. They are responsible for developing programming, behavior intervention, conducting assessments, training staff and collaborating with parents/stakeholders.
